Australian Food Festival at Sheraton Grand

Last week we had an amazing evening enjoying Food and Wine at

Australian Food Festival
at
Sheraton Grand,Brigade Gateway

We are always happy to enjoy different cuisines, but we were super excited to join Sheraton Grand for Australian Food, since chef Martin (Executive chef at Sheraton) is native from Australia and with our initial discussion with him he told that he tried to bring in Australian food as close to its native form as possible, they got some stuff from Australia, picked stuff from amazing farms in and around Bangalore and stole a few from local lawns around Bangalore :)
Chef mentioned that they also tried Kangaroo meat but were not able to procure it in Bangalore.

Our evening started with Lamb Broth with Root vegetables and Barley, it was really simple in its texture, super filled with taste of meat and veggies were uplifting the overall taste.

Chef served Smoked Swordfish Carpaccio with wild Rocket, Horseradish Creme, Cherry Tomatoes and Virgin Olive Oil. Australian Red Wine was served with salad and that added body to salad combination, nice and light.

Next on the menu was Mud Crab and Scallop Raviolo with Chardonnay, Crab meat flavor was amazing, Avocado and Micro Herbs were enhancing overall taste .

We really loved the overall combination of crab with white wine. -- Highly Recommended and must try.

Next we were served Chardonnay with Antartic Toothfish Confit Sweet Potato, Tempura Asparagus and Miso Butter Emulsion, another amazing dish with thin layer of crunch on fish and crispy asparagus, just made my day, sauce was too creamy  for me though,
but I loved Fish. -- Recommended (with less sauce)

Eucalyptus Smoked Lamb Rack with Eggplant Puree and Shiraz Classic were on menu next, Lamb was just superb, well cooked with good taste of herbs.

Overall a great dish -- Highly Recommended

Dessert we tried was Study of Peach Melba, it was a bit too sweet for me but had nice flavour,
different than regular chocolate desserts which I try often.. :)

Overall Australian festival was great, I also would have loved to try Kangaroo meat made australian style by Chef Marty, but they were not able to get it in Bangalore.

Chef told that next time they plan Australian festival they would love to serve Kangaroo meat, I am already excited to go for festival next time.

Till next time....Keep it STYLISH By Nature !!
