Musical Concert- Grammy Winner Ricky Kej at UB City

Hi Everyone,

UB City has become a popular leisure destination for Bangaloreans, it has an amphitheatre that can seat approximately 800 people. This space is a popular choice for outdoor exhibitions, art shows, concerts etc. throughout the year.

Recently, we attended an epic
Musical Concert in UB City amphitheatre by India's very own Musical Maestro - Grammy® Winner Ricky Kej

Musical Concert was a global Symphonic Experience of Environmental Consciousness with International Grammy® Award Winners from South Africa, USA, Ghana, Vietnam and India. For the first time in India!

It was a phenomenal experience for us.
Truly speaking, we never witnessed  art and conservation coming together so elegantly.

Ricky Kej, who is a musician with a difference, is also a conservationist can often be found travelling to speak about conservation and the environment. He is an Indo-American composer, music producer and conservationist. In 2015, he won a Grammy at the 57th Annual Grammy Awards for his album Winds of Samsara, a collaboration with South African flautist Wouter Kellerman, in the Best New Age Album category.

His album Shanti Samsara - World Music for Environmental Consciousness was launched on November 30, 2015 at the 2015 United Nations Climate Change Conference by Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
In the months since its launch, Kej has travelled widely speaking about conservation and the environment, including a visit to the Republic of Kiribati, where he interviewed three-term ex-president Anote Tong

His main agenda through music concerts is to heed our mother’s call and consciously work together for a future that is bright and beautiful for everyone, especially the children.
As he appeals, “I hope political leaders recognise the PowerOfMusic and culture in shaping world opinion and inspiring the peoples of all nations to dedicate themselves to acts of compassion in every aspect of their lives”

Knot by knot, I truly felt connected with nature, and could relate that when you contemplate our relationship with nature, you realize that we share the same fate: We depend on each other. We must keep the environment healthy, and in turn, it provides all that we need to live and thrive. Because water is essential to all life, we must recognize the necessity to keep it abundant and clean. Musical tribute to our rivers, Ganga and Cauvery was so heartwarming.

Ricky connected with audience and requested them to step outside their door and look around. What do you see? All the familiar sights and yet, we pass them by every day, without a thought; often it is as if we wander through our days on ‘automatic pilot’, literally blind to our surroundings. Thus, its very important to keep our conscious alive. Once we teach our children to be compassionate, we will have an abundantly green and peaceful world.

Truly taken by his Golden Words - If biodiversity is a measure of wealth of country, then India is the richest country.

Till next time....Keep it STYLISH By Nature !!
