This week our food journey took us to Tangra Food Festival,
JW Marriott as Chef Surjan Singh Jolly and team replicated the tastes of
Kolkata Chinatown live in Bangalore.
Tangra
is a region in east Kolkata that has a large population of people of Hakka
Chinese origin.
Food from Tangra has Hakka Chinese
cuisine adapted and it pairs well with Indian ingredients. Chinese food prepared by Tangra people is now known all over the world as 'Hakka Style" Chinese
food. And have given some amazing dishes to world.

We tried a number of dishes during the
festival which included Chilli Chicken, Golden fried prawns, threaded cottage
cheese, pork momos, Egg hakka noodles.
Some amazing Chinese inspired drinks
were also served which included Shandong Mary, Red Lotus and Mango spice mocktail.
