Hi Everyone,
My personal style is more on the feminine side, but I love taking a break from that and dress casually with a checkered shirt. During this time of season, It would seem that everyone wants a piece of the plaid. So, if you’ve got a plaid shirt you’re not quite sure what to do with, read on for quite the handful of styling options, just in time for fall layering. I styled my versatile shirt, as simple as, pulling with a pair of dark wash skinny jeans.
Bonus: Throw a leather jacket on top for a slightly more badass take on the look...or, with a puffer vest!
Here are the tips which I kept in mind while styling this easy and versatile piece
1. Color combination of your plaid shirt matters the most. You can find plaid in any color combination you can imagine right now – pinks, yellows, greens, blues. To get that instant glow, look for plaid print with a dominant cool or warm color scheme. So I always go for reds, orange and browns to flatter my complexion.
2. Right fit will take you long way. I would personally wear a fitted plaid shirt to follow the contours of my waist - it looks sleeker when tucked in a skirt too! Depending on the look and feel you want, you may choose an oversized plaid shirt as well. The oversized boyfriend shirt is perfect for that laidback casual-cool ensemble.
3. Style it right, Style it perfect - Sometimes, you just can’t go cooler than a basic plaid shirt worn open over your standard T-shirt/skinnies combo. Try experiment...replace your tee with a crop top !!
4. 90s tied-around-the-waist fashion is your best bet to look grunge yet chic.
