Fun Ways to Wear Your Flare Jeans

Hi Everyone,

Flared Denims - Pepe Jeans

Flares are just about the most exciting thing to happen to denim since the advent of skinny jeans.

This season, nothing says casual-chic like a pair of flared jeans.

Tight at the thigh and loose at the calf and ankle, this slimming pair of denim has '70s boho written all over.

When a retro style re-enters the fashion market, the challenge and the fun is to figure out how to wear it in a new way. With '70s references abound this season, and while flares are obviously one of those trends, the key to nailing the 2015 iteration is to give them a modern twist. Self-tie silk blouses, flatforms, and really good tailoring keep the look contemporary.

Flared jeans are so flattering to women’s figures that it’s no wonder they are enjoying a revival.
Nor is it surprising that they’ve come back into vogue so quickly.
Here are some styling options to ROCK flared denims -
  • Speaking of shoes, while you can wear flares with flats, a pair of comfy chunky sandals, clogs, wedges, or flatforms. Wearing flares with heels of any kind will make your legs look a mile long.
  • The style works well with a button-down shirt and a pair of slingbacks. This is a good option if you can wear denim to work on Fridays or require a denim look that's not a "five-pocket style."
  • Belt your flares. Trying pairing the look with a drape-y top—tucked in!
  • Wear a long blazer over a vintage rocker T-shirt. It's a great look for the weekend. A printed scarf and equally arresting handbag elevate the outfit.
  • The silk business blouse is an excellent choice with flared jeans. One form fitting element paired with one full element creates a nice balance in an outfit.
  • Kimonos are still on trend this year! Wear a long one with a pair of high-waist flare jeans for a serious boho vibe.
Till next time....Keep it STYLISH By Nature !!
