Jabong.com presented the very stylish River Island collection at Lakmé Fashion Week Winter/Festive 2014. The latest collection of Autumn/Winter 2014 creations will thrill buyers of ready-to-wear fashion.
With over 60 years of fashion experience, the River Island collections are coveted by the fashion conscious around the world.
Jabong.com has brought River Island to India in 2014, which is one of the most successful British High Street labels available exclusively on the e-commerce site. The men’s and women’s collections comprise of dresses, tops, shoes, jewellery, shirts, trousers, T-shirts and bags.
River Island has 300 stores across the UK, Ireland and in Asia, Middle East and Europe. The collection showcased on the ramp offered a stylish, wearable, affordable line for day long glamour from head to toe for both sexes.
Trendy, with the best fashion directions for the coming season, the River Island collection ranged from winter black and grey to all white with hints of the 60’s pastels. From floral and cute prints, the collection moved to metallics, leather and fringing for faux fur coats, gilets, stoles and bags.
Figure hugging cigarette pants, pencil skirts, corsets, cutaway tees, micro minis in leather, plaid jumpsuits and printed shirt waister with leather asymmetric jacket were a great addition to the female wardrobe. Cute cat, bird and geometric prints gave blouses and skirts a peppy touch; while the formal black jumpsuit with lattice work and the one-shoulder version of the same were ideal formal wear. The tail coat skirt and matching top was one of the highlights of the show.
Men’s wear was casual and comfortable with printed/plaid shirts, bermudas, sweaters, pullovers, hooded two tone denim/knit parka, two-button jackets and blousons in denim, leather and cotton for ease and style.
Ending the show was the very glamorous Kriti Sanon, star of the film “Heropanti” who glided down the ramp looking stunning in a silver metallic mini skirt with a matching mesh blouse.
