Sharing with you a great event I attended recently. The Silver Jubilee celebrations of the Kingfisher Derby kick-starts amidst glitz and glamour - Iconic coming together of Speed, Style and Fashion in the 25th edition. This being a formal event, I planned to wear an elegant Pencil fit black dress with Chanel Watch to fit into the occasion perfectly.
This year as well the Derby will witness internationally acclaimed jockeys and their prime stallions battling it out on the turf, providing a thrilling on – track experience. True to its tradition, Kingfisher Derby will celebrate the fusion of fashion, sophisticated style and entertainment as the city’s most glamorous make a statement in the front row at pre-Derby Fashion Night as well as the race day at the Turf Club.

Bangalore, July 07, 2012 – All roads will lead to the Bangalore Turf Club on July 15, for the most sought after race of the season, the Kingfisher Derby 2012. As Bangaloreans get ready for this premier race, charming Bollywood actress and fashionista, Shazahn Padamsee (on behalf of Kingfisher Premium), kick-started the celebrations by handing over the prestigious trophy today to the Chairman of the Bangalore Turf Club.

Kingfisher Derby also known as the ‘King of all Derbies’, is one of the richest sporting events and amongst the most sort after prize purse in India. The acclaimed Kingfisher trophy remains a coveted possession as the thoroughbreds rough it out on the race tracks on the Derby day.
Speaking at the event, Samar Singh Sheikhawat, Senior VP
Marketing, United Breweries Ltd. said, “The Kingfisher trophy symbolizes
pride, passion and glory. This year marks the 25th year of the
Kingfisher Derby and it is a momentous occassion for us. We are
excepting record breaking crowds for the hottest racing event in the
country.”
