Glamour, Glitz and Good Times ruled the 5th edition of Kingfisher ULTRA Kochi International Fashion Week
The star studded Kingfisher ULTRA Kochi International Fashion Week mesmerized the city with high octane fashion showcased by ace designers Rocky S, Hari Anand, Chaitnya Rao, Sanjana Jon, Verma De Mello, Shivali Singh,Jules Idi amin Vergis and Manoviraj Khosla. Displaying scintillating designs coupled with captivating ramp dramatics, three day fashion extravaganza left the crowd awe-struck.
The very dynamic Shivali Singh showcased her brand new collection Stripe-up. An irresistible combination of bright colours in monochrome set up, the collection was dedicated to the people of Kochi. Renowned actress Sija Rose left the audiences spell bound as she sashayed the ramp with great panache.
The internationally acclaimed fashion designer, Verma De Mello, took over the show with an agenda to enlighten the crowd about the suffering of women in the country. Gorgeous Himangini Singh strutted the ramp with great confidence and did complete justice to the beautiful showstopper ensemble.
Sanjana Jon’s collection was inspired by the remarkable beauty of women and the inherent strength that they stand for - Shakti. A host of actors from every part of India lead by popular Bollywood actress Nagma walked the ramp for Sanjana to support the cause.
Julie Verghese set the mood for the evening with her latest ‘THE SCARLET PIMPERNEL’ collection. Inspired by the novel of the same name, the range is a suave twist to traditional Red Carpet dresses with infusions of retro and neo-modern synthesis. Actress Lena Kumar exulted an aura of childlike innocence blended with the haughtiness of a diva as she walked the ramp and looked every bit the perfect femme fatale.
The grand finale saw Manoviraj Khosla showcase his exquisite collection ‘Life’ which true to its name, got the crowd energized with a musical show. Pop and soft rock Gods, One Nite Stand, serenaded the models and got the audience to sway to their captivating, foot tapping numbers. Actress Parvathy Omanakuttan raised the glamour quotient of the evening a notch higher as she dazzled the ramp in a scintillating golden outfit.
‘The Emperor of Good Times’ hosted a glamorous after party at Kingfisher ULTRA Kochi International Fashion Week which saw the city’s crème-de-la-crème look their scintillating best and dance the night away. Guests of this exclusive event enjoyed Kingfisher beer as they mingled with the country’s most talented designers. DJ Vanshi got the crowd grooving right from the start, and kept the dance floor chock-full till the wee hours of the morning.
