The first day of Kingfisher ULTRA Kochi International Fashion Week wowed the city’s style aficionados with an enchanting display of effervescent designs. Renowned designers Chaitanya Rao, Hari Anand and Rocky S showcased their latest and most extravagant collections, leaving the crowd awe-struck.

The first day of Kingfisher ULTRA Kochi International Fashion Week wowed the city’s style aficionados with an enchanting display of effervescent designs. Renowned designers Chaitanya Rao, Hari Anand and Rocky S showcased their latest and most extravagant collections, leaving the crowd awe-struck.
Celebrated designer Chaitanya Rao raised the style quotient to the zenith as he opened the show with his glamorous and sensuous leather wear collection. Exclusively crafted for fashionable men and women with a penchant for sporting striking and unique ensembles, the collection is a heady mix of gold designs with an interplay of sharp cuts. With this collection, Rao effortlessly brings one’s glamorous side to the fore. A flawless blend of glamour and talent, Natasha Suri left the audiences awestruck as she sashayed the ramp with unmatched elegance.
Kochi’s very own Hari Anand took over the show with his fascinating ‘Alchemy’ collection. Inspired by the process of creating gold out of dull elements, the scintillating bridal collection represents the slow infusion of sparkling gold into dark tones. With varied shades of nudes, blues, whites and solid blacks transforming into bright jeweled gold, the range is an expression of dreams interwoven with reality.
The highlight of the evening was National Award winning actress and a heartthrob of millions, Priyamani who walked the ramp for Hari Anand with great panache and radiated femininity and magnificence.
Rocky S, the star closing designer of the evening, unveiled his unique collection at the show. Inspired by a woman’s transformation from a state of stress to a rejuvenating rebirth, the chic range urges women to take time out and indulge themselves. The first phase of the collection attempts to showcase a frazzled mindset through textures and drapes in ivory, beige, nude and dusty grays with sheer, chain lace and scaly embroidery. The latter phase transforms into the essence of rejuvenation with elegant gowns with rich embroidery in shades of teal, black and grey. Gorgeous Tanvi Vyas, perfectly embodied the collection with her energy and warmth as she walked the ramp as the showstopper.
Continuing the Good times post the fashion show, the glamorous after party hosted by Kingfisher ULTRA got the fashionistas dancing all night long. The post show celebrations saw the city’s who’s who soak in the fashion fever and mingle with the designers and models. DJ TT played some of his most popular tracks and got the party grooving from the start. Coupled with the unlimited supply of Kingfisher brew, the party ruled the city till the wee hours of the morning.
