Stylish Bee ~ How long have you been blogging for? What is the name and where did the name of your blog come from? What is your blog about?
Samidha ~ I started my facebook page first in January 2010, the blog started after 6 months once the facebook page got a lot of traction. The name of my blog- Street Style India- was inspired from all the international street style blogs I used to regularly visit. The blog was meant to feature quirky, unique styles that I spotted around myself but I could not manage going out to shoot regularly. Today it has become more of a personal blog because of my tight work schedule.

Stylish Bee ~ How long have you had an interest in the fashion world?
Samidha ~ I don’t know exactly when it all started but I’ve always been fascinated by clothes and also experimenting with different styles.

Stylish Bee ~ Explain your personal style….
Samidha ~ Not too outlandish, a little laid back, lot of colours, a little boho and very retro & vintage.

Stylish Bee ~ Where do you draw your inspiration from for outfits? 
Samidha ~ Largely what my instincts say. The inspiration is consciously or sub-consciously derived from fashion blogs, vintage and thrift shops- practically everything and anything around me.

Stylish Bee ~ Do you prefer to read a magazine or a blog?
Samidha ~ Blogs and online versions of magazines.

Stylish Bee ~ Who or what do you aspire to be?
Samidha ~ Nobody in particular. But I want to give back to the larger society in some way possible.

Stylish Bee ~ What would you describe as the top 5 MUST HAVE’s for your wardrobe?
Samidha ~ Don’t believe in must haves. Am sorry but I am very fluid with these things..

Stylish Bee ~ Lookbook or Chictopia?
Samidha ~ Lookbook. 

Stylish Bee ~ What are you doing when you’re not working on your blog?
Samidha ~ Tracking corporate stories and working as a business journalist, and very religiously watching football

Stylish Bee ~ What do you think is the best thing a blogger can give to his/hers readers?
Samidha ~ I feel bloggers need to be honest in everything that say to their readers, this is what distinguishes them from a magazine column. A fair review and an honest assessment of things will go a long way in engaging well with your readers.

Stylish Bee ~  What blogging tools do you use? (Camera, host, programs etc)
Samidha ~ A Nikon DSLR, some photoshopping .

Stylish Bee ~  Finally, what tips do you have for anyone out there starting out in the blogosphere?
Samidha ~ It will be the same as Q 10, be honest and fair. Do not pretend to be what you are not. If I do not wear heels very often while going to work you won’t usually see me wearing them for my shoots as well. I make an attempt to look nice and presentable but I’m not obsessed about my looks and that’s what my blogs represents. I would hate be pressurized to look a certain way just cause I run a fashion blog, people who appreciate that are really my target readers. For the rest- fashion magazines are a better bet.
